CASC Displays at the 8th Annual CNSF Exhibition
& Reception
Wednesday, May 17, 2002- CASC was among the exhibitors
(and co-sponsors) at the Coalition for National Science
Funding (CNSF) 8th Annual Exhibition and Reception in the
Rayburn House Office Building. The CASC booth was staffed
by Beverly Clayton, Janet Thot-Thompson and Jennifer Pillen
(NCSA ACCESS Center) , and Sue Fratkin. The event was well-attended,
with ten Members of Congress and over forty Congressional
Staffers in attendance, as well as NSF Staff: Agency Director
Rita Colwell and new Computer and Information Science and
Engineering (CISE) Assistant Director Peter A. Freeman.
Handouts were provided by CASC members with
projects relating to Homeland Security, Computer Security/Cyber-Terrorism,
and Bio-Terrorism. Packets of handouts will be available to
CASC members on request - contact sue@casc.org
